We are excited to have Kathy and Salome with us at this year’s uxcon to guide a community discussion on the state of UX – with the results feeding directly into the closing talk.
There are several trends in the field of UX, some putting UX at more of a business level (think “seat at the table” or UXers moving into product management), while other trends are pushing UX to be more of a commodity (think design systems or generative AI).
From Kathy and Salome:
Because we know the importance of staying in the problem space for understanding, we want to collect input from attendees and speakers. Initially, we thought to conduct deep listening sessions (shoutout to Indi Young), but a conference environment is not the best setup for such a method, so we pivoted to a more collaborative approach.
On the first day, come by our booth in the Expedithalle (main stage) to share your stories, impulses, experiences, and observations about the state of UX. We also invite you to participate in our sensemaking session in the evening on day 1 in the Co-Innovation Factory at 18:30 when we will cluster the input from the day to find themes and maybe new trends.
In the closing talk on day 2, we will share preliminary results from the input we collected and synthesized on day 1.
