Co-creating the future: UX research & inclusive AI

As creative AI tools reshape how we imagine and make, UX researchers play a pivotal role in shaping not just the tools, but the futures they enable. Drawing from real-world research leading a UX team at the forefront of AI-powered creative tools, and from collaborative work with the Inclusive AI Lab, this talk explores how to do impactful UX research with AI-powered creative tools, while centering inclusion and equity throughout the development process. We'll look at methods for understanding creative workflows, strategies for involving underrepresented voices, and the challenges and opportunities of designing AI that supports diverse forms of expression.
