Introduction: Pulse of UX 2026

Pulse of UX is an ongoing, evolving research initiative exploring the current state of UX — how roles are shifting, what challenges teams are facing, and where the discipline is heading.

Rather than publishing a static report, Pulse of UX is designed as a living project: a space where people can contribute, exchange perspectives, and find support – grounded in real data and feedback from UX professionals and non-UX stakeholders alike. In a time when our industry is changing rapidly, we believe the conversation should stay open and dynamic.

Kathy will kick things off and leads the project together with a wonderful team, who’ll be on site throughout the conference to run the research and connect with you.

This session marks the official start of this year’s on-site research project – and we’re looking forward to shaping the next snapshot of UX together.
