I heard about some sort of research or discussions about the pulse of UX. What is this all about? Why should I participate?

At last year’s uxcon, we conducted an onsite research experiment regarding how UXers are experiencing the state of UX and we discovered that this topic is in fact on many people’s minds. There are common challenges we are all experiencing and this year we want to learn more and dig in deeper.

This year, the project is getting even bigger!

Here’s how you can get involved:

On-site at uxcon vienna:

Visit our Pulse of UX Booth and take part in our research — your voice counts!
Fill out our survey (takes about 15 minutes) and as a thank you, you’ll receive a Laws of UX card deck right at the booth.

Joining online?

You can participate by scheduling a 20-30 minutes online interview during the conference days.
All participants will automatically enter a raffle to win:

  • 1x annual subscription for our brand new uxcon on demand (worth €300, launching soon)
  • 1x free online ticket for uxcon vienna '26

Book your interview time slot here.

1. Click the link to select a time slot.

2. Confirm the time slot in the email sent from UXTweak (within 15 minutes).

Why we’re doing this

The survey is part of a larger research project called Pulse of UX.
Your insights will help us build a more complete and accurate picture of the UX field today.
You’ll also get exclusive access to the survey results once they’re ready.

Help us spread the word!

The survey is open to UX professionals and non-UX professionals alike —
we want to hear as many voices as possible!
Please share it with your network and help us capture a broad perspective.

How do I get access to the recordings and the event documentation?

After the event, you'll receive an email with a link from us that will give you access to the event documentation.

This will include photos, speaker slides, video- and audio recordings.

Please keep in mind that it might take a little time to finish the documentation and edit everything.

What side events are happening, and how do I join?

Day 1 we’re kicking things off with our UX Get-Together and the UX Vienna Book Club.

Registration for the book club goes directly through UX Vienna.

Please sign up in advance for the Book Club so we can plan ahead.

Day 2 after the Closing, we’ll head over to the MAK Museum for a guided tour.

Please sign up in advance.

Day 3 is all about mixing content with some fun — sightseeing tours, a Walk & Talk with UX Vienna, and time to just relax at our breakout spot, the Badeschiff.

Please sign up in advance.

All registrations – for workshops and limited sessions – will be managed through our event platform.

We’ll send you emails beforehand, including a heads-up before sign-ups go live, since spots are given on a first come, first served basis.

Will the sessions be recorded?

We’ll be recording all main stage sessions on Day 1 and 2, and the side stage sessions on Day 2.
