In recent years, the UX industry has faced challenges, with layoffs and an ever-changing tech landscape driven by AI and shifts in the international political environment. Looking back, my layoff two years ago was a blessing in disguise. I learned that UX founders have an edge over tech and business founders when it comes to viewing a product and its value from the user’s perspective. But this ability brings both insight and blind spots.
