Paola is a strategic design leader, startup advisor, and public speaker. Currently, Paola serves as Head of Product Design at Birdie, a B2B SaaS scale-up in the HealthTech sector.

Prior to Birdie, Paola was Director and Head of Product Design at Bumble, where she led the dating app's Design organization, driving an end-to-end rebrand and redesign, raising the impact of Design as a strategic asset, and spearheading user-centric culture change. Previously, she led design at Meta, where she launched new experiences to 3+ billion people, built and scaled design teams from the ground up, and drove and pivoted complex product strategies. Before Meta, Paola worked on new B2B products at Groupon and new apps for trading, analytics, and research at Credit Suisse. Paola also had short stints in project management, business analysis, and graphic design.

Paola earned a graduate degree in Computer Science from Harvard University and an undergraduate degree in both Information Systems and Marketing from New York University Stern School of Business.

Born and raised in Lima, Peru, Paola has also lived in Florida, New York, Massachusetts, California, and, most recently, London.
