About the Speaker

Werner Kurschl is a professor at FH Hagenberg, where his work sits at the intersection of human-computer interaction, assistive technology and industrial digitalisation. His research covers user interaction and user modelling, speech- and gesture-based input, ambient assisted living, socially assistive robots and human-centred workplace design. He is active in the Research Center Hagenberg, the Assistive Technology Lab and the Center of Excellence for Smart Production, has published more than 80 peer-reviewed papers and received the Best Paper Award at HUCAPP 2018.
